Mass monster Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek plans on qualifying for the 2027 Mr. Olympia early. In an October 9 Instagram post, he showed off a freaky shredded physique update just 24 hours before he competes.
From the second he stepped into the IFBB Pro League, Krizo garnered comparisons to former seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath. His bubbly volume and etched-in muscle fibers made him an instant fan favorite in the Men’s Open class. In 2026, Krizo picked up significant steam, thanks to a busy season.
He kicked off the year with a razor-close second-place finish at the 2026 New York Pro. He narrowly lost to Tonio Burton, whom he rematched just a week later at the stacked Pittsburgh Pro. The pressure was on Krizo to qualify for the ‘Super Bowl of Bodybuilding,’ and he didn’t fold. The Slovakian native avenged his defeat against Burton to claim gold.
It was clear Krizo brought up his posing and stomach control in between transitions. These changes were on full display at the 2026 Mr. Olympia event. Ultimately, Krizo didn’t get past Burton, but he did earn sixth place, the highest Olympia finish of his career. Gaining entry for the Mr. Olympia continues to become more difficult each year. With a victory in the Czech Republic, Krizo could use the time away from the stage to bring an even stronger package on the horizon.

In the Instagram post, Krizo revealed his physique after having body work done:
“After lymzo massage 1 day out,” Michal Krizo shared.
Jay Cutler offered Krizo words of encouragement before stepping onstage:
“Unbelievable bring it home,” shared Cutler.
Given Krizo’s complete physique, some bodybuilding veterans have been vocal about what he needs to fix moving forward. Former 1983 Mr. Olympia Samir Bannout believes stage presentation should still be his top priority. He noted how just minor tweaks to how he presents his physique could be a game-changer.
“It’s not about doing a most muscular pose. It’s not about just being ripped because the guy gets super shredded, he’s super massive, but he needs to do minor alterations. He needs to make minor changes to his performance, to show his body,” Samir Bannout explained.
On paper, Michal Krizo heads into the 2026 EVLS Prague Pro as a heavy favorite. But as we’ve seen with the last Mr. Olympia, that doesn’t mean he’s a shoo-in to walk away with gold. Don’t miss the event on October 11; Fitness Volt will have live coverage.
