The rivalry between Derek Lunsford and Chinedu Andrew ‘Jacked’ Obiekea just got personal. In a YouTube video from May 19, Lunsford and Jacked traded shots and smashed a massive workout in prep for the 2026 Mr. Olympia.
In 2025, Derek Lunsford achieved his ‘Triple Crown’ goal. He won the 2025 Arnold Classic, Pittsburgh Pro, and Mr. Olympia consecutively. His victory in Vegas marked him as only the second bodybuilder to reclaim the Sandow trophy after losing it, a feat he shares with Jay Cutler.
While he’s taken a much-needed break from contests, the same can’t be said for Jacked. The Nigerian native secured a historic $750,000 by winning the 2026 Arnold Classic. From there, he picked up another $250,000 with a dominant win at the Arnold UK. He stands out as one of Lunsford’s biggest threats, and it looks like the champ has taken notice.
“This is my title. I worked for it for more than a decade. Nobody is taking it from me,” shared Derek Lunsford.

During the video, Lunsford called Jacked soft for changing the workout from legs to upper body.
“He’s soft. You’re soft. You’re soft,” said Lunsford. “You ain’t doing nearly the travel I’m doing, I’ll tell you that. You ain’t doing half the things I’m doing, I’ll tell you that.”
He also stressed that Jacked will never win the Mr. Olympia while he’s competing:
“How you going to win Olympia if you’re not going to train legs? That’s what I’m saying. You’re never going to win the Olympia. You’re never going to win the Olympia, as long as I have anything to do with it.”
“Mark your words today,” said Jacked.
“I marked my words in 2023, 2025, Arnold Classic,” replied Lunsford. “You’ll never win the Mr. Olympia if I have anything to do with it. And I’m 5-0 already.”
Jacked was adamant that Lunsford’s streak would come to an end this September.
“Yeah, he might be 5-0, but there will be a flip in the script this time around, definitely. It will stop at 5-0,” said Jacked.
“Listen, he mentioned earlier that he’s only been in this how long? Three years? Four years. But you are 41. I’ll tell you this: I’ve been in this far too long and now a father of two, to ever let somebody come in and take it from me.”
Lunsford will face a stacked lineup at the 2026 Mr. Olympia. In addition to Jacked, the two-time champ has to get through Samson Dauda, who has used the off-season to add significant mass to his frame. Fans also expect Nick Walker to shake up the roster, assuming he can secure a qualification.
Anticipation for the biggest event of the year continues to build. The 2026 Mr. Olympia is set for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
