Powerlifter Jaisyn Mike is widely regarded as one of the best Masters bench press athletes of all time in the IPF (International Powerlifting Federation). In a recent post uploaded on Instagram, Mike further cemented his position having shared a clip of him bench-pressing 425 pounds (192.8 kilograms) for a new PR of 20 reps.

Jaisyn Mike first started competing almost a decade ago, with his first competition being in 2014. He enjoyed a highly successful career as a professional powerlifter in the +120-kilogram weight class and won a majority of the 50 sanctioned competitions he participated in. His very dominant win at the 2018 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships stands out as a notable one on his decorated resume.

Jaisyn Mike set a new +120-kilogram weight class Master 1 (40-49 Years Old) IPF World Record Bench Press at the 2018 IPF World’s show with a massive lift of 619.5 pounds (281 kilograms). He has also won a ton of prizes at the RAW Nationals. In just his second time competing as a Master’s athlete, Mike earned a win at the Arnold Con-Cret Pro Bench Bash.

Jaisyn Mike shares regular updates with his 14.8k followers on Instagram, mostly showing off his massive feats of strength. The 45-year-old is renowned for turning up the intensity in his training sessions. He may not be competing inside the gym, but he works out hard and has even managed to achieve a 563-pound death rep on the bench press.

45-year-old Jaisyn Mike Crush 425-Pound Bench Press  for 20 Rep PR

In a recent post shared to his Instagram account, Jaisyn Mike shared a clip of him achieving a new PR on the 425-pound bench press for 20 reps.

“425 LBS X 20 REPS PR!!! BIG. I can’t press and count at the same time.”

Jaisyn Mike can be seen powering through the weight very quickly as he completes the high-rep training. He got through the set with ease for the most part and only endured a struggle in the final few reps.

Last month, Jaisyn Mike achieved another new individual best on the bench press when he lifted a massive 562 pounds (255 kilograms) for a five-rep PR. He was only using a lifting belt and lifting straps to perform the lift, which would be permitted in a sanctioned powerlifting meet. He reiterated his ultimate goal of crushing 700 pounds and revealed that it was his heaviest untested competition bench PR 7 years ago.
