It’s the start of a new era—Ramon Queiroz captured the 2025 Classic Physique Olympia title, becoming only the fourth champion in the division. A day after his triumph, he took to Instagram on Oct. 12 to reflect on making history.
In 2024, Chris Bumstead won his sixth and final Classic Physique Olympia crown before sailing off into retirement. That left room for a new titleholder to emerge at the 2025 Olympia. For months before the event, discussions centered around Mike Sommerfeld’s chances, given that he took runner-up last year and won the Arnold Classic.
Queiroz was no stranger to picking up silver medals at the Olympia; he took runner-up behind Bumstead in 2022 and 2023, but dropped to fourth last year. When he stepped onstage in 2025, it looked like a whole new Queiroz.
His legs were full, his back was wide, and his conditioning was dialed in from top to bottom. It ended up being an incredibly close match in the finals against Sommerfeld, with Queiroz edging him by just one point to start a new chapter in Classic Physique.

Ramon Queiroz on Olympia Win: ‘Today I Lived a Dream That I Have Carried in my Heart a Long Time’
In a recent Instagram post, Queiroz expressed gratitude for achieving his dream of becoming Classic Physique Olympia.
“Thank you Lord 🙏🏼
Today I lived a dream that I have carried in my heart for a long time. I requested… And the Lord fulfilled it, in Your time, not mine. Amen ⭕️🦖🙏🏼,” Ramon Queiroz said.
In a post-show victory interview, he touched on the differences in this prep, revealing that he gained more size in the off-season.
“Mission accomplished. I did what I came here to do and God honored me,” he shared. “Consistency and I did a bigger off-season to get more volume.”
“I don’t know [how I’ll celebrate yet]. Water and sweets and carbonara, burger, bacon, and cheese.”
“Next year, I will be back again,” said Queiroz.
Queiroz has big shoes to fill following the dominant reign of Chris Bumstead. He’s been in good company to continue furthering his career. The Brazilian star trained alongside reigning two-time Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford in the lead-up to his major victory. Queiroz and Lunsford are both coached by Chris Aceto, who played an integral role in their success.
Queiroz is ready to represent the best the sport has to offer in Classic Physique. Time will tell if he considers entering the 2026 Arnold Classic as the reigning Olympia champion.
