A new era has begun after Ramon Rocha Queiroz became only the fourth bodybuilder to capture the Classic Physique Olympia title. On Oct. 16, 2025, he announced his plan to maintain the title for the next five years before setting his sights on a move to the Men’s Open.

After dropping to fourth place at the 2024 Olympia, fans were starting to count out Queiroz. Attention shifted quickly to Mike Sommerfeld, who pushed Chris Bumstead in that same event en route to a silver medal. Sommerfeld also won the 2025 Arnold Classic, giving him a blast of momentum before heading to Vegas.

At the Olympia in 2025, Queiroz won the vacant title, defeating Sommerfeld, thanks to a blend of size, fullness, and conditioning. From humble beginnings, fans and even fellow competitors are enjoying Queiroz’s victory lap. Now, with time to reflect on the biggest win of his career, he opened up about his future.

Ramon Queiroz Announces Plan to Keep Classic Physique Olympia Title for 5 Years, Then Will Switch to Men’s Open

In the Instagram video, Queiroz discussed his goal of holding on to the Classic Physique Olympia title for five years. After that, he plans to close out his career in the Men’s Open division, where he won’t have to concern himself with a weight cap.

“Firstly, maintain the title for at least about five years there.

And like I always said, at the end of my career there, I want to move up to Open and finish in Open. But we still have a lot to do, right, man?

In Classic we already got the title. So we know we have a lot more there to receive in Classic Physique and then in Open, it’s not for just anyone. But at least I’ll go out big,” Ramon Rocha Queiroz said

Despite Bumstead’s absence, the Classic Physique division has never been more exciting. In addition to Queiroz leading the class, Sommerfeld, Terrence Ruffin, Wesley Vissers, Matt Greggo, and Josema Munoz have all shown they have the potential to shake up the sport.

It’s uncertain if Queiroz will enter a contest outside of the Mr. Olympia moving forward. Anticipation for the 2026 Arnold Classic is building, and since Queiroz won the title back in 2023, fans believe we could see him on stage in March in pursuit of a second title. For now, the Brazilian champion seems content sharing his glory with his devoted fan base.
