A multiple All-Time World Record holder in the Teen age class, Max Shethar is not far away from stepping into the Juniors division now. The transition to a different age class is always difficult, but Max is ready to give everyone a run for their money. He is constantly training with impressive intensity, which often results in some new personal records. Most recently, Max shared a 710-pound (322-kilogram) raw squat two rep PR to his Instagram account.

While Max Shethar is known for his deadlift, he can’t have any weaknesses if he wants to become one of the most elite powerlifters. It is fortunate that Max knows this fact, so he is now able to reach world record levels in his squats. This has especially become evident now, since his new 710-pound (322-kilogram) squat double PR is 30 pounds (13.6 pounds) heavier than his old best.

Max Shethar made both reps look very comfortable and easy. So it would be hard to believe that he has never squatted this much weight for two reps before. He will, however, probably keep improving the PR as he progresses through his training program.

The only pieces of equipment Max used to aid him in this feat of strength were a lifting belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps.

It is not clear if Max Shethar is currently actively preparing for some competition or what his current bodyweight is. He usually lingers at around 140 kilograms (308.6 pounds), having competed in both the Over and Under 140-kilogram weight class.

Max Shethar last competed at the 2022 USPA Drug Tested Fuel Fitness Matt Hurley Memorial. It was convincingly his best performance yet, as he set the All-Time Teen Deadlift World Record in the +140KG weight class. His raw deadlift of 365 kilograms (804.7 pounds) is still the Heaviest in the Teen division across all weight classes. In addition, Max set new competition PRs in all of the events at the same competition.

Max Shethar’s Competition PRs

  • Bench Press: 207.5 kilograms (457 pounds)

Despite the lack of information about his future, Max Shethar’s PRs give hope that he will remain active in the coming year. He definitely has the desire to become the best and break World Records, so if he remains injury free, there is nothing to hold him back. Shethar still has tons of room to improve, which seems insane seeing that he is already lifting some incredible numbers.
