The 2023 Moe’s Muscle New Zealand Pro happened in Auckland, New Zealand on October 21. This show was a 2024 Olympia qualifier for the Classic Physique and Men’s Physique categories. 

With notable changes taking place in the IFBB Pro League, securing qualifications for the biggest show of the year has become more challenging. In 2023, the IFBB Pro League abandoned the point system and made it clear that any athlete who wishes to qualify for 2023 Mr. Olympia would be required to win a Pro show. 

Details pertaining to the location, venue, and date of the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest are unavailable at the time of this writing. However, that didn’t stop contenders from putting forth their best physiques on stage this weekend.

Classic Physique 

Stars from the Classic Physique category brought their absolute best to the stage in New Zealand. Fanni Faudi was in the running for gold, and judges took notice of his conditioning levels early on in prejudging. He last appeared on stage at the 2023 NPC Worldwide Thailand Bangkok Pro qualifier where he took first.

Meanwhile, it was clear as the show went on that Terrence Teo Kok Hua would be his main adversary, especially considering the detail he displayed with his back poses. Hua last competed at the 2023 Masters Olympia contest though he finished outside the top 15 in the Men’s Physique division. In the end, it was Fanni Fuadi’s night as he walked away with gold. Terrence Teo Kok Hua and Benjamin Pisuttisarewong finished in second and third place.

Men’s Physique 

Men’s Physique contenders were out for an early qualification to 2024 Mr. Olympia. The finals saw Ali Nasr bring one of his best packages to date. His conditioning was on point this weekend and he always brings tons of energy during his posing routines. Nasr competed recently in second place at the 2023 NPC USA Championships. 

Isai Kesek also looked to have brought one of his best looks to the stage in New Zealand. With balanced proportions and a dominating front relaxed pose, Kesek always presents a unique challenge at competitions. He last appeared at the 2023 NPC Worldwide Thailand Bangkok Pro qualifier in first place. After a heated show, Isai Kesek pulled off the big win. Ali Nasr finished in second place with Cyprian Pereira taking third.
