The 60th edition of Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend, scheduled for Oct. 10-13 in Las Vegas, NV, can be considered the biggest bodybuilding show of the century. This year’s Mr. Olympia champion will be awarded a one-of-its-kind, stunning golden Sandow trophy to mark this milestone.
The top athletes from each division did not hold back any punches during the 2024 Olympia presser on October 10. While Samson Dauda ripped off his shirt and challenged anyone to face down on the press conference stage, Chris Bumstead said that he is unfazed by any of his competitors.
While the rematch between the reigning Mr. Olympia champion, Derek Lunsford, and the 2022 champ, Hadi Choopan, is the main attraction of the 2024 Olympia, you cannot count out rising stars Dauda and Andrew Jacked.

212 Olympia
The 212 roster was absolutely stacked, with the top 10 athletes bringing their absolute best to the Olympia stage. The 212 Olympia was a two-man show, with Keone Pearson and Shaun Clarida gunning for the top honors.
Pearson showcased a dramatically improved physique from the previous year. He gained significant size and definition in his legs, contributing to a much-improved X-frame. He brought the hammer down on his competition and walked away with his second-consecutive 212 title. Pearson becomes the first bodybuilder since Flex Lewis (2012-18) to do a repeat at the Big O.
As expected, Clarida and Pearson were in the final callout of the pre-judging round. Clarida brought his signature conditioning and was shredded to the bone. He radiated confidence throughout the competition but had to settle for a silver medal ultimately.
Angel Calderon Frias and Kerrith Bajjo were the other bodybuilders in the final callout, and they retained their third and fourth-place positions from the previous year. Meanwhile, Vitor Oliveira claimed a commendable fifth-place finish on his Olympia debut.

- Second Place — Shaun Clarida ($20,000)
- Third Place — Angel Calderon Frias ($12,000)

Ms. Olympia
The Ms. Olympia showdown was one of the highly anticipated contests at the 2024 Olympia.
Angela Yeo turned over the apple cart by defeating Shaw at the 2024 Rising Phoenix championship — the second most prestigious Women’s Open contest.
However, Shaw dominated the stage from the get-go at the 2024 Olympia and ultimately held onto the title for a fifth consecutive year.
Having defeated Shaw at the 2024 Rising Phoneix Pro, Yeo was oozing with confidence. She was peeled and brought her best conditioning to a bodybuilding stage, but that wasn’t enough to hold Shaw off. Yeo had to settle for a silver medal.
Shaw made some significant changes from the 2024 Rising Phoneix Pro to the 2024 Olympia. She moved to Phoneix and hired a new coach to bring her best physique to the grandest bodybuilding stage. Shaw brought a tighter physique, with her muscle striations shining through during every pose.
Ashley Lynnette Jones, Helle Trevino, Angela Yeo, and Andrea Shaw made the final callout during the prejudging round.
It was Jones’ third Olympia appearance. Her muscularity and conditioning were undeniable, but her exceptional posing routine truly set her apart, helping her capture a well-deserved bronze medal.
After missing the 2023 Olympia, Trevino returned with a vengeance to the 60th edition of the competition. A seasoned veteran with a career spanning two decades, she finally achieved a hard-earned fourth-place finish.
- Winner — Andrea Shaw ($50,000)
- Second Place — Angela Yeo ($20,000)
- Third Place — Ashley Lynnette Jones ($12,000)
- Fourth Place — Helle Trevino ($7,000)
- Fifth Place — Nadia Capotosto ($6,000)
- Sixth Place — Kristina Mendoza
- Seventh Place — Leyvina Rodrigues Barros
- Eighth Place — Sherry Priami
- Ninth Place — Michaela Aycock
- Tenth Place — Theresa Ivancik

Figure Olympia
Cydney Gillon has a vice-like grip on the Figure division. She joined the ranks of Ronnie Coleman, Lee Haney, and Lenda Murray, who all have eight Olympia titles to their names by emerging victorious at the 2024 Olympia.
Cydney Gillon’s X-frame is just unbelievable. Her waist virtually disappears as soon as she hits the side chest pose. You have to watch it to believe it. Gillon announced her retirement after winning the title.
Lola Montez, Jessica Reyes Padilla, and Natalia Soltero were the other three bodybuilders in the final callout during the prejudging round, and all the athletes maintained their dominance in the final round.
The reigning Masters Figure Olympia champ, Padilla, competed in her 10th Olympia this year. She was graceful as ever during her individual posing routine and showcased her figure in its full glory, finally bagging a silver medal. Lola Montez rounded up the podium with a bronze medal.
The 2024 Olympia podium mirrored last year’s results, but Soltero climbed the ranks, securing a fourth-place finish after placing fifth in 2023.
- Winner — Cydney Gillon ($50,000)
- Second Place — Jessica Reyes Padilla ($20,000)
- Third Place — Lola Montez ($12,000)
- Fourth Place — Natalia Soltero ($7,000)

Fitness Olympia
The reigning champ, Oksana Grishina, did not compete at the 2024 Olympia due to pregnancy, leaving the throne vacant.
Missy Truscott, Jaclyn Baker, and Taylor Learmont were clearly in the top three as soon as they stepped on stage during the pre-judging round. The prejudging round constitutes one-third, while the fitness routine round constitutes two-thirds of the final score.
We witnessed some unfortunate events at the 2023 Olympia, as the then reigning champ, Missy Truscott, got injured during their Fitness routines and had to withdraw. Truscott documented her entire recovery journey on social media and was back with a vengeance at the 60th edition of the show.
Truscott’s chiseled physique and world-class fitness routine helped her win her third Olympia title. Her turnaround story is hands down the most inspiring comeback story of the year.
In a shakeup from the previous year’s results, Baker ascended to the silver medal position, while Taylor Learmont, last year’s runner-up, claimed third place.
- Winner — Missy Truscott ($50,000)
- Second Place — Jaclyn Baker ($20,000)
- Third Place — Taylor Learmont ($12,000)
- Fourth Place — Allison Kramer ($7,000)
- Fifth Place — Tamara Vahn ($6,000)
- Sixth Place — Michelle Fredua-Mensah
- Seventh Place — Michaela Pavleova

Women’s Physique Olympia
The women’s physique division has become one of the most hotly contested divisions at the Olympia. Fans expected a cutthroat battle between the reigning champion, Sarah Villegas, and Natalia Abraham Coelho for the gold medal, and the athletes didn’t disappoint. However, Villegas emerged on top when the dust settled, winning her fourth Olympia title.
Villegas looked in total control as soon as she stepped on stage. Her leg development was unmatched, and her posing was immaculate. She is one of the few bodybuilders who can pull off the arms-open victory pose.
She brought a well-balanced package with everything on point. One couldn’t point to a major problem with any of her muscle groups.
On the other hand, Coelho took the critique from the judges from last year and really made some significant improvements with her physique, earning her a silver medal.
Sheronica Henton and Barbara Menage, who were both in the final callout with the top two, bagged the third and fourth-place finishes. It was Henton’s best finish at the Olympia to date. Menage added some muscle in 2024 without sacrificing her physique flow and aesthetics, which pleased the judges.
- Winner — Sarah Villegas ($50,000)
- Second Place — Natalia Abraham Coelho ($20,000)
- Third Place — Sheronica Henton ($12,000)
- Fourth Place — Barbara Menage ($7,000)
- Fifth Place — Elisama Manoel Benta Zorzetto ($6,000)
- Sixth Place — Jeanette Johansson
- Seventh Place — Marika Jones
- Eighth Place — Natalie Rae Wolfe
- Ninth Place — Ana Harias
- Tenth Place — Tracey Guile

Wellness Olympia
Since its inception in 2021, the Wellness division has exploded in popularity, with Francielle Mattos reigning supreme as the undisputed queen. However, Isabelle Nunes was at Mattos heels for several years and was finally successful in overthrowing the champion at the 2024 Olympia, claiming her maiden Olympia gold medal. Mattos finished in a respectable second place.
The Wellness division has the most diverse line-up, and Nunes and Mattos set the stage on fire during the prejudging round, with the crowd rooting for their every move. As expected, Mattos and Nunes were the only two athletes in the final callout. To be honest, Mattos and Nunes’ physiques are very similar, and it could have been anyone’s title going into the finals.
Eduarda Bezerra turned heads on her Olympia debut and won a bronze medal in a stacked lineup. Meanwhile, Elisa Alcantara faced a setback, dropping to fourth place after securing a third-place finish the previous year. Giselle Machado continued to impress, maintaining her fifth place once again.
- Winner — Isabelle Nunes ($50,000)
- Second Place — Francielle Mattos ($20,000)
- Third Place — Eduarda Bezerra ($12,000)
- Fourth Place — Elisa Alcantara ($7,000)
- Fifth Place — Giselle Machado ($6,000)
- Sixth Place — Lisa Meiswinkel
- Seventh Place — Rayane Fogal
- Eighth Place — Kassandra Gillis
- Ninth Place — Leonida Ciobu
- Tenth Place — Alexis Adams
