The last time Sherine Marcelle shared a PR was a long time ago, but it’s now clear that she’s been working on something incredible behind the scenes. Sherine’s lifts are always impressive, whether they are her personal best or not, but it’s even more inspiring to watch her push the boundaries even further and achieve something that few people have been able to accomplish. Well, Sherine has done just that, having posted a brand new raw deadlift double PR of 505 pounds (229 kilograms).
Sherine Marcelle pointed out in the caption of her Instagram post that this was her lifetime PR, as well as the fact that she did not use a lifting belt. Her deadlift stance was sumo, while she also utilized a mixed grip and a lot of chalk to hold the bar. In addition, Sherine attempted to deadlift the same weight just two weeks ago, but was only able to do one rep. So, seeing that she has now completed two reps that demonstrated the effectiveness of her training program.
Several of Sherine Marcelle’s Instagram posts mention that she’s preparing for a competition, which is fantastic news. The nature of the competition and the date of its holding is unclear at this point.
Speaking of competing, Sherine Marcelle has already participated in 12 sanctioned powerlifting meets. She has also won nine of those and is now close to setting some new World Records. Sherine does not compete too often, which is why her appearances are often epic.
Judging by her competition PRs, it is obvious that the squat is Sherine Marcelle’s greatest lift. However, it is also clear how much progress she has made in her deadlifts, as Sherine’s most recent deadlift double PR is heavier than her best in competition.
