Slovakian star Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek is just days away from his third Mr. Olympia appearance. In a September 18 video, the mass monster walked fans through his brutal chest and biceps workout 10 days before he steps onstage.
Krizo’s muscle quality and detail have helped him make a name for himself in the IFBB Pro League. He’s drawn comparisons to bodybuilding legend Phil Heath because of his bubbly muscle volume. In 2026, Krizo used that strength and secured a close second place at the New York Pro behind Tonio Burton.
He got his revenge a week later at the Pittsburgh Pro. Krizo showcased stronger poses and sharper transitions, helping him get past Burton on the scorecards. With momentum, Krizo hopes to make a statement when he competes in Sin City.

“I love when I can feel it, every fiber,” he shared. “Science-based.”
Krizo has a massive opportunity in front of him at the Mr. Olympia. Former 2022 champ, Hadi Choopan, announced his withdrawal from the contest due to visa and travel issues. This leaves room for Krizo to break into the first callout if he can peak properly.
The Men’s Open standout has been vocal about his game plan heading into the Olympia. He believes conditioning will be key to climbing the ladder:
“I have proven methods. What I did for Pittsburgh, I will try to do the same for Olympia, but I will try to come in a little bit better shape, a bit more shredded,” he shared.
Some in the bodybuilding community, including Lee Priest, believe upsets could be on the horizon. He recently said that Krizo and Burton have the potential to finish in the top six. According to Priest, if any of the top contenders are ‘off,’ Krizo can, and likely will, capitalize.
Krizo has improved his placement at each Mr. Olympia contest he’s entered. With one of the deepest lineups in years, fans expect a true showdown among Men’s Open stars. Dan Solomon announced that the 2026 Mr. Olympia livestream will be completely free. The event takes place from September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fitness Volt will have live play-by-play coverage.
