Larry Wheels has been preparing for and hyping up his one rep max attempts in three of the elemental lifts (squat, bench, deadlift) for a number of weeks now. Larry has now completed his final few training sessions, and he plans to attempt to score some massive lifts in the next couple of days. As many people know, Larry has stopped using steroids and is now only on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). Hence, it will soon be clear how much his strength has changed. Wheels is clearly still one of the strongest people alive, seeing that he just demolished the heaviest deadlift of his TRT prep cycle, locking out an incredible 360 kilograms (793.7 pounds) with a conventional stance and a mixed grip.
It’s worth noting that this deadlift was considered “raw” by powerlifting regulations, as Larry did not use any supportive gear beyond a lifting belt. This is significant because raw lifts often require a higher level of strength and technique compared to lifts using equipment. Larry proved this in his recent video a few days ago where he bench pressed 250 kilograms (551.2 pounds) with elbow wraps and 230 kilograms (507.1 pounds) without the use of them. Apart from the deadlift and the bench, Larry also tested his squat a few days ago, which came out to 325 kilograms (716.5 pounds).
“95/360kg heaviest deadlift of this TRT only prep.
Body weight down to 255/114kg. Doing a full mock meet in a couple Days!”
Watch the lift here:
Since stopping the use of steroids, Larry has slimmed down significantly and is now sitting at 114 kilograms of bodyweight. Despite this weight loss, Larry remains extremely shredded and looks much younger compared to the times when he was using steroids. This is due to the fact that steroids can sometimes have negative effects on a person’s physical appearance, including causing water retention, acne, and bloating. However, seeing that his body is not able to produce testosterone on its own, Larry decided to jump on TRT, which is obviously doing wonders for him.
As he embarks on new endeavors, such as this TRT mock meet, it’s important to remember how much Larry Wheels has accomplished in strength sports. His most memorable achievements came in the sport of powerlifting, as Larry broke numerous All-Time World Records, some of which still remain intact. However, he also made incredible success in bodybuilding, even winning a show after a lot of hard work and dedication. So, then the time came for Larry to conquer the Strongman scene, with his goal being to win the 2022 Middle East Strongest Man and deadlifting 1,000 pounds (453.6 kilograms). However, a back injury made him realize that his health should be the priority, which resulted in him stopping the use of Steroids.
In the next few days, Wheels will accomplish another of his goals in the form of a mock meet, but it is still unclear what he will do afterward. Larry could still continue his arm wrestling career or even come back to powerlifting professionally. His main focus at the moment is the preparation for the mock meet.
