2026 Mr. Olympia

Bodybuilding is a sport judged on how a physique looks, not on what it lifts or how fast it moves. Competitors train and diet toward a single day, present the result on stage in a fixed set of mandatory poses, and a panel of judges places them first to last. No clock runs and no lift is recorded. Judges rank rather than score, their placings are added up, and the lowest total wins, which is why a winning number on a scorecard looks small.

The sport is split into divisions, and the division decides what the judges are looking for. Men's Physique marks extreme muscularity down. Classic Physique holds competitors to a maximum weight for their height. Men's Open sets no weight limit at all. Each division has its own pose list, its own attire rule and its own scoring split, so an athlete who wins one can place nowhere in the next.

Two titles organise the professional calendar. The Mr. Olympia has run every year since 1965 and is the one every pro season points at; athletes reach it by winning or placing at sanctioned pro shows through the year. The Arnold Classic, first held in 1989, is the title that comes next.
